Vintage 1953 W Somerset Maugham Complete Short Stories Two Volume Boxed Set Doubleday

A handsome vintage two-volume boxed edition of The Complete Short Stories of W. Somerset Maugham, published by Doubleday & Company in 1953. Volume One is titled East and West, while Volume Two is titled The World Over.

Both hardcover volumes feature textured gray cloth covers with panels, gold lettering and graphic black detailing. The books are housed in their original black slipcase with a green and cream title label, creating a beautifully coordinated set for reading, collecting or styling on a bookshelf.

The books present well with light shelf wear and age-related page toning. The slipcase shows visible wear, rubbing, torn covering along the edges and corners, and creasing to the exterior label. Please review all photographs closely.
