Vintage Silver Plate Potpourri Box India Pierced Lid Cricket Cage Pomander Flower Frog

Vintage round silver-plated potpourri box made in India. This decorative metal container features a domed pierced lid, front latch and ornate hinged closure. The openwork design allows fragrance to escape when filled with dried potpourri and also gives it the look of a traditional cricket box. Can also be used as a flower frog to stick short stems in.

The original label remains on the bottom and identifies it as a silver plate potpourri box. It has substantial tarnish, oxidation, scratches, spotting and plating wear throughout. The lid opens and the latch remains functional.
Dimensions: 4" W x 4.375" D x 3.5" H
